Un giovane marinaio di Capri sposa la figlia di un nobiluomo napoletano. I due si amano e arrivano al primo anno di matrimonio senza nubi. Ma un giorno il giovanotto s'assenta e, quando torna a casa, scorge la moglie in atteggiamento compromettente con il figlio della matrigna. Crede che la consorte lo tradisca ma si sbaglia.
